It might be January, and it might be cold and feel miserable but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be considering the rest of 2022. In fact, if you ask me this time of year is perfect for planning activities to look forward to for the rest of the year. And so, with the aim of inspiring a little joy and things to get excited about, here are some holiday ideas for 2022.
A Staycaction
There are some amazing places to see in the UK, so a staycaction is a really lovely idea. Of course, warm weather is often a little more limited if you’re staying closer to home but that doesn’t have to be a reason not to enjoy yourself. Visit Brighton Beach, walk about the Blackpool Golden Mile or even check out the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We have so much to see and do throughout the UK that whatever you have in mind, there is bound to be a holiday here to suit.
A Cruise
My social media seems to be full of people taking to the seas and enjoying a cruise holiday lately and I have to say, it looks like so much fun! I had a nosey on the Ambassador Cruise Line website and they certainly have a range of cruises that would suit everyone. One of the things I have enjoyed seeing on friends social media posts is them enjoying onboard activities – shows, cinemas, themed dinner nights and so much more. I had no real idea that there was so much to see and do on these boats, but they do look so much fun.
A City Break
Whether you want to stay in the UK or go a little further, a city break can be a lovely way to get away from home and relax. One of the best things about city breaks is that you’re generally visiting somewhere that has plenty to see and do, which means that you’ll never be short of entertainment. Google is a great place to research what options are available when it comes to things to do in your chosen city, so make sure you pick somewhere that has plenty of entertainment options that you’re going to enjoy.
Of course, there are options for travelling anywhere in the world – fancy a beach with white sand, what to go skiing? Whatever you fancy, travel is opening up and holidays are much more possible. So if you fancy a break in 2022, why not start getting organised now – give yourself something to look forward to.
If you have holiday ideas for 2022 that you think might inspire others I would love you to share them below
