Although some people are lucky to have naturally healthy-looking, shiny hair most of us have to put in some effort when it comes to looking after our hair. Today we wanted to share some tips on how to keep hair looking healthy with minimal effort.

Look After Your Hairbrush

Using the right hairbrush is essential, but so is looking after the hairbrush that you’re using. Make sure that you regularly remove any hairs that have been collected on your hairbrush, as otherwise you could end up just brushing these back into your locks. It’s also a wise idea to make sure that you wash and clean your hairbrush regularly – so that you’re not brushing a dirty hairbrush over clean hair.

Get a Hair Cut

Even if you’re growing your hair, a regular trim can make all the difference. Split ends can actually slow down hair growth and make your hair look dead and dull. By having a trim you give your hair a fresh look and help to encourage it to grow out.

Check Your Shampoo

If you find that your hair is getting greasy quickly or doesn’t seem to have any life to it even after washing then it could be time to reconsider the shampoo that you’re using. Remember as well, using your shampoo in the right way makes all of the difference – when washing your hair, make sure you wash twice – the first is to bring up all of the dirt from your scalp and the second to rinse your hair clean. If you aren’t already shampooing twice every time you wash your hair, you’ll soon notice a big difference once you start

Protect it From The Weather

Protecting your hair from the weather is also essential if you want to keep hair looking healthy. For example, in the winter make sure that you protect it from harsh winds and being battered by the wind where possible. In hotter weather avoid getting your hair wet and then sitting in the sunshine and letting it frizz.
