You Can’t Quit For Anyone Else

We can sometimes be convinced by loved ones that quitting smoking is the right thing to do. Although there is nothing wrong with using loved ones as motivation they should not be your primary reason. Instead, you need to make the decision to quit for yourself. That way, when it comes to considering how to quit smoking you know you’re going to be motivated.
Much like changing our eating habits or going to the gym more often, being organised is key. For example, whatever stop smoking tool you’re using, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of them – after all, if you’re relying on a vape to curb your cravings and then you don’t have a working one to hand, you’re going to struggle to stay motivated. Make sure you plan things to help keep you busy when the cravings get too much too; this really helps!
Have a Support Network
Recognise that quitting any bad habit alone can be tough. When you’re thinking about how to quit smoking; consider who is going to be your support network when things get tough. This could be a Facebook group filled with people in similar positions or a friend you know you can pick up the phone at call anytime.
